Frequently Asked Questions

Can we make design changes to suit our needs?

Yes! We can accommodate most changes, as long as they fit within the limits of transportation.

Are the homes built strong and cyclone rated?

Yes!  Halley Homes are constructed from the highest quality materials and meet Australian Building code.

Does splitting the house for transportation weaken it?

No. Transportable homes are built differently than homes constructed on site.  Our homes can withstand travelling thousands of kilometres because we build on a solid steel base and brace all external walls.  This gives the walls the strength to cope with the rigours of moving.

I have not built a home before.  Do I have to deal with council?

No. You have complete peace of mind with your Halley Homes purchase.  We handle all council applications, soil testing and any other regulatory issues under most circumstances.

What work will I need to do when I get my new home on site?

We hand over your home when it’s completed to the contract specification you signed with us.  You only need to move in.

What if something needs repairing or doesn’t work with our new home?

We provide all the applicable warranties relating to every aspect of your new home.  Plus you have the confidence of knowing we have a full time Client Services Manager who will help you with any queries.
