What You Need to Know Factory built housing is based on the modular construction principles, that being that a single module can not be greater in length than 18000mm (18mt) and 4000mm (4mt) in width. These restrictions are governed by our transportation and regulatory authorities. Most factory built housing construction are made up with varying modules in size (length) most 2 module widths homes are 7.220mm and vary in length from 10.660mm through to 18000mm depending on the home design. Our Town and Country Home and Unit series have Unit sizes from 40m2 through to homes up to 175m2. this excludes veranda's that are additional to this and become a separate transport module in themselves. Your home or Unit is built in a controlled factory environment that allows a much more controlled and quality project, unlike homes built on site a factory environment allows for trade supervisors to be watching every step in the process, ensuring total quality control at all stages. Once your home or unit is completed in the factory it is like it was built on your site, fully completed ready for the plumbing and electrical services to be connected. At this point it goes through a final quality control check to ensure that everything you have asked for in your HIA building contract is there. Once it has passed all quality inspections from all the trade supervisors, it begins the splitting process, this is a term used in factory construction to prepare it for transportation to your building site. This is a highly specialized process that requires the skills of precise detail.
